Not following your logic. Were you applying logic here? More likely: "Post hoc ergo propter hoc" (If definition needed: the logical fallacy of believing that temporal succession implies a causal relation.) Certainly very entertaining, but probably not a comment by a successful courtroom attorney.

To answer the question "Where is the speculation?" The speculation exists in the supposition that retirement after 30 years of employment had anything remotely close to the rantings posted here. People retire all the time after 20, 25, 30 years without some ominous reason, or is that not obvious to most logical people? Some disbarred attorneys have too much time on their hands and vivid imaginations.

Regarding Sarah Schielke comment, "the bottom line is that Colorado's entire criminal justice system has benefitted and improved as a result of that woman's departure"
I suppose if you are an attorney trying to get your client off for breaking the law, and Ms Burbach's expertise prevented you from doing so, then yes... her retirement will benefit your agenda.
