Go online at csindy.com to see a sneak peek of Loyal Coffee’s new north location (11550 Ridgeline Drive, #102), set for a grand opening in early October. Follow their social media for soft-opening info, and note their new espresso machine isn’t pink: It’s “festive salmon.”

Taste of OCC is happening from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, in Bancroft Park (2408 W. Colorado Ave., tasteofocc.com); a $40 ticket gets you access to samplings for 13 area eateries plus six local beer and spirit makers.

The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey’s (abbeywinery.com) free Harvest Fest 2019 runs Sept. 28 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and 29 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the winery (3011 E. U.S. Hwy. 50, Cañon City), with live music, food offerings, crafts, kids’ activities and, of course, wine. But for a real treat, nab a $125 seat (includes tax and tip) at Friday, Sept. 27’s Winemaker’s Dinner at 6:30 at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park (4218 County Road 3A; 719/276-5191 for reservations). Celebrated area chef Beau Green presents a nine-course “Progressive Food and Wine Tour” paired with winemaker Jeff Stultz’s products; plates include a pork belly musubi, miso trout, crispy duck with sage gnocchi and a dessert called Chocolate Eleganté. (They already had me at chocolate.) “This year will be extra groovy for me, as we’ve taken the past four years’ menus and are doing a best-of menu,” says Green, noting how past attendees voted on their favorite dishes to compile this year’s tasting stations.
