Re: “Commissioners see shades of brown in Hanover

People and animals have been sickened and died from exposure to sewage sludge biosolids. Surface and ground waters have been contaminated. Sludge consists of a noxious mixture of human and industrial wastes. The US EPA allows Class B sewage sludge to have 2 million colony forming units of fecal coliform per gram of solids. State by state details
of sludge victims who suffer respiratory, gastrointestinal infections, burning eyes, noses and throats, skin lesions, asthma and life threatening diseases, etc.: http://www.sludgevictims.com.

The EPA and waste industry promote Class A
sludge as being pathogen free, for use on home vegetable gardens. Dr. Jordan Peccia, Yale, reports that Class A sludge is NOT pathogen free. He found
8 of the 14 bacterial and viral pathogens survived treatment in Class A sludge. Airborne, bioaerosol transport of sludge pathogens poses the greatest risk to human health. Class A sludge victims: http://sludgevictims.com/Class-A-sludge.ht…

A recent published, peer reviewed health study in North Carolina confirms human health risks from land applied sludge:

The US EPA confirms an ugly new risk in sludge - infectious human and animal prions (think mad cow, Chronic Wasting Disease, Alzheimers and Creutzfeldt Jakob Disease.) http://www.alzheimers-prions.com/

In the July 3, 2010 issue of VETERINARY RECORD, Dr.Joel Pedersen, renown prion expert, Univ/Wisconsin, stated: “Finally, the disposal of sludge was considered to represent the greatest risk of spreading (prion) infectivity to other premises.”
