"Holy Ignorance: Religion, Politics and the Crisis of Globalization"

When: Tue., May 6, 5:30 p.m. 2014

Dr. Carl Raschke may come off as something of a blowhard — his website features the tagline, "Exploring thought-spaces that no one has explored before ..." — but he raises interesting points. For instance, there's his postulation that "secular liberalism" is having a tough time coming to grips with the religious fervor in the Middle East, a "deep-reaching, global trend," he wrote in his 2012 book Postmodernism and the Revolution in Religious Theory. Get more of that at 5:30 tonight with "Holy Ignorance: Religion, Politics, and the Crisis of Globalization," his talk at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs' University Center (1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy., Admission is free, with free parking in Lot 3. — Bryce Crawford
