Re: “God Bless the Child

My daughter was sexually molested by at least two boys at the biofather's residence for 11 years, forced to bathe and shower with the boy seven years her senior until she was eight. DHS said that was permissible.

Every time DHS would go to the biofather's house, "everything was fine" and they "witnessed no abuses." They tried to call there before visiting.

They aren't against only low-income families; my husband and I had a $500,000 home and excellent career positions. Chuck Brown, commissioner at the time, didn't want a thing to do with helping my daughter, though another politician helped to the best of his ability, which I truly appreciated.

Now 19 and in college, my daughter continues to share more events that occurred during her years at the biofather's house, including public masturbation, porn movies, the wife walking around in a thong and bra, and my daughter held responsible for watching their two young children.

DHS thought that was okay too.

At age 12, she escaped and has never gone back there.

[The story's author, Campbell, needs to know that "principle" is the correct word, not "principal" twice mentioned in the piece.]

Re: “God Bless the Child

Jeannie, my heart goes out to you and your daughter. My daughter and I have suffered a similar fate via DHS with their ancillary cottage-industry compadres: Carol Reinert, the recently deceased Judy Girard, Jan DeBoer, (numerous social-psyc types), judges D. Richard Toth, Larry Martin, Doug Anderson, and the most deceitful, hand-over-his-mouth, perjuring, child-molestation advocate GAL in this town, Gerald A. Kimble Jr.

The latter was known as "the hired gun" and "the mouthpiece" pro fathers' rights at the District Attorney's office where he once worked, according to two attorneys who know him. He knew my daughter was being sexually molested by at least two boys in the father's household, yet Kimble not only allowed the abuse to continue, he advocated it for years.

DHS said it was normal for a 14-year-old boy to bathe with my 7-year-old. Other "normal" activities in that household were allowing the kids to "sneak in" to watch porn with the parents, two children publicly masturbating—one on the front porch, one on the living room floor.

To this day, my daughter suffers. She exhibits little to no emotion, still has nightmares about her experiences at the father's house, and brings up more of the things they did to her when she still had to visit there. She is 17, and praise God, has refused to go there since she turned 12. Her grades are excellent, and she has a promising future. Had she not emancipated herself, only God knows how she would be, or if.

I plan to write a book after she leaves for college. It will probably sicken me, reliving all the events DHS and others were accessories to, but if we don't speak out, the taxpayer-paid perpetrators will perpetuate.

Ironically, almost six of those on her case have died already (one has cancer). Karma, perhaps?

Numerous others I have met have published similar accounts; I know I am not peerless. We just need to continue publicizing. It is our money that buys these guys their retirements, while our children may need therapy for their lifetimes.
