Re: “Smoking: Whose choice is it?

smoking is a nasty habit. with that said, i am a smoker(for now). i moved to CO springs from Omaha last month. the elevation there is 1/6 what it is here. plenty of oxygen in the air, and i certainly was more tolerant of cigarettes. i smoked around 3 packs/week. since moving, that number has dropped to just 1 or less, directly because of the altitude and exercise i've been getting.

i still get dirty looks from time to time, which i dont mind, but at the same time i am usually careful where i light up. i respect nonsmokers' preference not to breathe in 2nd hand. and during the droughts(and this is BIG), i will be extra careful not to potentially start a wildfire. so i dont so much care that nonsmokers are complaining because of health risks. i have a big problem with carelessness and damage and destruction that one cigarette tossed out of a passing car window can cause in colorado. ban smoking in indoor establishments and i'm fine with that. throw a butt out a car window or into the grass and i've got a problem with. ban smoking in and out? now i have a big problem with that. responsibility and moderation. live by those 2 words. they apply to almost everything in life-----Happy Memorial Day----
