We all have our favorites -- those dog-eared books we turn to again and again. Two common threads among this week's batch of citizen-on-the-street interviews is passionate author Ayn Rand and solitary philosopher Henry David Thoreau.

What book do you wish you'd written? Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. I like her highly counter-cultural philosophy that man is an end to himself in a world where we depend so much on other people and religion.

Who's the sexiest philosopher? Thoreau, because of his idealism and romanticism. And who wouldn't want to live at Walden?
