Re: “What we'll lose

Ok, so the fundraising continues unitl when? Are the few thousand dollars being raised today going to supplement the centers for the next 5/10 years? Realistically it seems that an organization that can't support themselves and feeds off the tax dollars of the citizens should go away. I don't have any children, so why am I paying for their play time? I already pay enough taxes for the schools in my neighborhood. Privatized organizations should be the way for these places to go because my hard earned money should be spent on things that I need and want. If these people can't get off their behinds and find a job, why are we just dishing out things to their kids? My sister has 5 cildren and was a single parent for most of their lives, she never asked for assistance and her kids are all in college now. She wasn't asking for hand outs, she gave up parties and selffulfilling lifestyle and made sure she was there for to provide guidance for her childre. It seems to me that we are letting these parents off the hook for taking responsibility for their children and making it the cities problem, and I for one don't think I should have to pay for this!!!!!!
