Things seem to be getting serious for Gov. John Hickenlooper's possible presidential run. While The Denver Post and Politico mentioned the former Denver mayor as a possible candidate some time ago, now the Colorado Democrat's name has popped up in a Washington Post opinion piece as "among the most un-Trumpian politicians out there." And, he's formed a political action committee, according to Colorado Politics.

Officially, Hickenlooper says he hasn't yet made a decision, but media reports say he'll help stump for Democratic governor candidates in the coming month. The Post piece noted that as "a moderate, unassuming, reality-based leader," Hickenlooper might find open arms. "If the GOP is still in Trump's grasp, Hickenlooper is precisely the kind of moderate, pro-business Democrat who might attract disaffected Republicans."
