Re: “Carson's WTU: It's an old story

I am just coming to the WTU and so far so good. It seems to be a well oiled machine. Yes, at times it seems confusing and overwhelming but what isn't when making a life change. I have gone from Soldiering to taking care of myself. I suffer from TBI and PTSD and just got finished with an ACL repair. The WTU and the SFAC have so many opportunities for Soldiers that it's almost unbelievable. For Soldiers that take advantage of these programs there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I personally believe that the WTU is a place for Soldiers that WANT to heal. I have been in for 14 years and I have found the time in the WTU to do that. I do feel bad for alot of the Soldiers that have bad experiences here. Sometimes it can be as simple as a disconnect. You have to seek help in order to recieve it. No-one can help you if you do not take the first step. For the Soldiers that are so traumatized that they have lost hope, I am truly sorry. But please, talk to someone. Don't give up, you have a whole world to explore and plenty of battles in it that will always take the time to listen. JB
