Re: “Reality bites at reunion

Hmmmm John,
I know you were at the same reunion I was, but it's hard to tell that from your description.

Five years ago there were 117 of the 535 graduates of 1958 living in the COS area. There were about 80 people at this reunion, of which about 60 were classmates. Of those 60, 28 are from the COS area.

You didn't stick around long enough to really talk to many people. I found it interesting to hear about how people were feeling and about the marvels of medicine in our lifetime. I hope you heed the advice to have a DRE. A myriad of topics were discussed. You could have heard a conversation about research in electrical engineering , about progress in health care to under served areas, about real estate in the COS area, about what it's like to be in TV and magazine ads, about travel of all kinds, about kids and grand kids, and yes, even great grand kids, about moving from one part of the country to another, or about living in COS during the summer and a kinder climate in the winter. You could have heard about cars: old and new, about what it's like to still be working and what plans many have made for retirement and how they spend their time. You could have heard about what it's like to fly a helicopter , about unmanned vehicle systems, about photography, about art of all kinds, and about gardening and cooking.

Also, the "icy" prom queen was at the reunion. She is happy and healthy and friendly and had a wonderful time reconnecting.

It was a fun read, but the only parts I recognized were that Carmen's Mom is 103 years old and that Helen is radiant.
