Re: “Commenting on Craftwood Inn's closure

The owner admitted the Craftwood has been bleeding money for years, yet he continued to take money from brides. 20+ brides have paid money to have their wedding there and Mr. Symonds didn't even have the respect to tell them. They learned about it through a news article. Some have paid all their money and they have been told they are not getting any of their money back. This is unlawful given that he knew the declining position of his business. I was a bride who had their wedding canceled due to the Waldo Canyon fire and I received no deposit back from the Craftwood and had to beg to get my other money back. In fact, I graciously allowed them to make payments to me!!! When I pursued it with the BBB, Mr. Symonds' response included a comment that he offered us the Broadmoor. Yeah...right...because any bride would turn down the Broadmoor! He is a liar and a thief. For those of you that think this is some great place to eat, don't be fooled by the food. There are unethical business practices going on here and there needs to be accountability. Put yourself in the position of these brides and then make the rightful determination to boycott the StageCoach. By the way, the Cheyenne Mountain Conference Center saved the day for us when Mr. Symonds and his staff refused to help us. We found out at 1 a.m. the day of our wedding that our 11 a.m. wedding was not going to take place. Imagine that. And I never even heard from Mr. Symonds or his staff. I was the one to make the initial phone call after watching the news. Karma for Mr. Symonds.
