Re: “Wiener wars

Andy Wells sells delicious dogs and brats to tourists who either have little money for food; thus, they can spend more in the shops or to large families and groups looking for a satisfying, low-cost meal. He only sells reasonably priced hotdogs, bratwursts, chips, and drinks. Patsy's specializes in famous, delicious taffy and sweets such as caramel corn and funnel cakes. Why price-cut Mr. Wells' dogs by selling cheap weiners to put him out of business? He sells hotdogs; they sell sweets; they go together; can't we all just get along? Providing water bottles for $1.25, referrals to other restaurants including the Royal Tavern, and sharing Manitou history, directions, and friendly hellos, Andy is preventing heat stroke, helping lost or confused tourists, making folks feel at home in our town, and adding to the summer fun. He pays the owners of the Royal Tavern to use the front, pays sales taxes, has a vendors license and inspection. What is the issue; our country began when small businessmen and woman started selling their goods. Let's share Manitou and encourage tourism with a positive attitude. Hooray for all vendors and tourists who make Manitou special and strange!
