Football is one of those sports that seems to be either loved or hated by students, alums and fans.It is easy to see it as another example of violence in violent times.

What it gives to young men is hard to measure but the life's lessons taught through the team concept not only last throughout a lifetime but help shape the lives of its players.

I attended CSU-Pueblo to pay football after my original school cancelled its program. That school's image has drastically changed both nationally and regionally. CSU-Pueblo actually dropped its program only to revive it to increase enrollment. (up 60% for first year students and 11% for the entire student body). Did CC communicate with CSU-Pueblo before they gave the death sentence to a vital and, apparently, unappreciated program?
