Re: “Rainbow disconnection

Thank you everyone for posting your comments, I waited this long to post a comment, because I wanted to see what the general consensus was. To try and discredit me does little or nothing at all, however, it still leaves the unanswered question... What happened to all that money? Most importantly, what impression has the Center given to all those companies that joined and supported the center on behalf of the Gay Community..that we are dishonest, liars and not trustworthy. What's going to happen when we really need help outside our gay community.. Do you really think that the first thing their going to remember is (allegedly) Jesse Trevino was drunk at a party, Come on people get real. However, I'm very happy that only a handful of you received help from the center. It sheds some light of integrity from the Center and those employed there. My purpose of going public was not for selfish reasons or personal attacks, but more so for the people that paid hundreds if not thousands of dollars to this so called organization. and have yet to get an answer to their questions on where this book was and what happened to their money. As a Gay man and as a citizen of this community it was not only my job but my duty to give some sort of answer to these people. And if that meant going public was the only way to get this for them than so be it, and still yet they along with others we are still wait for this answer. My main concern is the 25 thousand plus dollars I helped get for PPGLCC and it mysteriously vanished some of that money was to be set aside for Rainbow Pages to be printed in January and other means of supporting the community, it was to be given back to the community. and Rainbow Pages is just now being distributed...At the Center. OF course we expected to receive more money than it cost to get printed that was the whole purpose of selling the ads, in retrospect we sold under the anticipated amount that was published...period. Ryan and or the Center has never designed an ad for a client (outside of Heritage Mortgage which I with the help of the owner designed together) all others were emailed in the form of JPEG and sent to us via email. So the design was already made by the client. I sure hope all those people that paid good money to have Rainbow Pages at their place of business got their copies, and got what they paid for, but it sounds like if they want a copy their going to have to go and fetch them. I also wonder if they are of the quality that was promised. PPGLCC has refused to update their home page and or post banners for companies and individuals that paid Top Dollar to have their banner flash on the home page. We are talking hundreds and some even paid thousands of dollars for this service. PPGLCC has the nerve to state they need help with paper drives (paper towels and toilet paper) and to help them stay open???? Who are we helping really, who? They have or have had the money for things like this. From grants from the Gay and Lesbian Fund, Sales from Rainbow Pages, Ticket sales for the 7th annual awards banquet( which they did not pay for you did (those that attended)) and of course Pride Fest. this is not including those of you that continue to give your monthly donations in the form of cash, check or credit cards. This Center does not give back to the community period. Giving a place to have board games and watch T.V. is not giving back. They use the words Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans-Gender and Community as a by-product to get grant money, donations, and cash. They are no better than Focus on the Family selling Jesus! We the community Gay or Straight are nothing more than cattle being prepped for the slaughter house! My biggest frustration is that I did and still do care a lot for our community (gay and straight) and to see these types of comments posted about or against me is quite frustrating especially when I along with all that money were more than welcomed at the center and from those of you that posted such nasty things about me. When I started asking too many questions about all that money and where it went (on behalf of my clients) I was fired and let go...that is the honest truth. I'm giving you a lot of detail because I think it is important to remember who and what your giving your money to, I on the other hand will never take a non-profit for granted ever again. Best wishes Jesse M. Trevino
