Re: “Mixed blessings

"All I'm saying is the Bible students tend to be people who live a reasonably lawful life, a good life," he adds. "We're not bringing in problem children."

This is amusing. I live a block from a Christian learning college. The kids are loud, have drunken parties, destroy property, leave their rental units looking like a war zone, and necessitate neighbors calling the cops at least once a month in the summer. They drive drunk up and down our street, get into accidents, and are generally wild kids tasting freedom for the first time. I assure you, they ARE problems.

Oh, and I'm so glad I moved from WP before the cult threatened to move in. WP sure has gone downhill....

Re: “UPDATE: Colorado Springs police feud with local TV station

The SWAT members acted together within their assigned roles, communicated with each other, and worked in concert in order to achieve a common goal. That is, in my mind, a "team." It might've been a small "team," but it was indeed a team. And there shold've been NO apology issued to the CSPD!

The CSPD PIO is a PITA to get information from for freelance journalists! I almost feel better knowing the bigger-name journalists and broadcasters run into the same trouble-- shows a pattern of intent. I can call the PIO here and they actually answer the phone, return calls quickly, and provide information right away. I don't miss CO at all.

Re: “Breaking: Crouse sues city over destroyed marijuana

Best line of the whole article: "... the string of losses District Attorney Dan May has experienced with recent MMJ cases..."

Re: “Cannabiz: Ali Hillery found not guilty

Hurrayyyy!!!! Congrats to Ali! This is great news! You deserved this win-- Kudos to your legal team for thumping Dan May hard, and thanks to the jury for voting with both their brains and their hearts!

Dan May-- you're fighting a battle you cannot, and will not, win. Your days of playing evil dictator are over. I've never been so happy to watch a person's career crumble as I have been to watch yours! You wanted to be Attorney General? I'd kiss those dreams goodbye. No one wants a person in office who A) Can't understand or follow the law; and B) Can't manage to win a single case against a bunch of pot smokers. I bet that really pisses you off.

Good.
