Re: “20 years later: Tonya Harding, Nancy Kerrigan and Colorado Springs

William J. Hybl and his colleagues in 1994 decided to ignore the rule of law--under which a system of judges, jurors and prosecutors determines what, if any, charges are to be brought against a defendant--and they further ignored the court's judgment in this matter. Hybl's class-based rush to punish Tonya M. Harding, which he now claims was based upon "evidence" gathered at the time, flies in the face of our nation's justice system; yet, like all power-elite kingpins, he and his wealthy colleagues imagine themselves to be above the law. That Hybl is employed by the U.S. Department of State speaks volumes about how power elites work and how they're fawned over by politicians who are supposed to be working for the entire citizenry, not just the upper class. But bullies always get their way, especially wealthy ones.
