Re: “UPDATE: C4C still drawing a mountain of questions

Gaebler's argument has been one of emotion and not facts, from the beginning. The numbers...facts, have been on the side of the opposition.
I am stunned that she and others can attempt to justify spending $350m of our money without one thought of asking how we feel about it. This is blatantly unconstitutional not to mention, irresponsible.
Sooooo, what happened with our $980m Storm water deficit?
Oh wait, if we use tax money to fix that, only our City benefits, not the developers.
Nice job on representing "The People", Jill.

Re: “City for Champions hearing attracts an impassioned crowd

Ms. Wilson,
Not supporting a "vision" does not make that person or group of people lack desire to improve the wellbeing of their community or have a fear of risk. In this case it simply means there is a lack of evidence for the return on our investment. All business ventures include some risk but smart investors KNOW all the facts and projected data going in. This is called a calculated risk.

Our citizenry has been given a peripheral view, at best and has no idea the personal (taxes) magnitude of investment being pledged without their consent.

Moving the visitor center? No one will visit. We go to see the Cadets and the Chapel and then we're going to get in our cars and go WHERE???? NO.

Sports Medicine? Really? A Multi Million Dollar Athlete trusts new, never proven facility to work on his ACL when he can go to Vail to the Steadman Hawkins Clinic which has successfully treated world class athletes for decades? NO. Btw, I don't care how much money you offer big name docs, even if you can get them here. The athletes won't trust their careers to an unknown over a BRAND like Vail.

Olympic Museum? We have trouble getting folks to visit the museums we have now. Pioneer, Rodeo, Art.... Btw, Bach didn't even know the City does not contribute any tax dollars to COS Fine Arts Center...Truly in touch!

One more thing, "There are a lot more in favor of this project than you think."
What does that mean, Ms Wilson? Have you taken a poll? How many is "a lot"? Were you on the campaign FOR John Morse..."Paid for by a whole lot of people for John Morse"....
