Re: “Springs expects the nation's first dog-friendly eatery, CCM expands again

The Watering Bowl did this in Denver but the health department caused so many problems for them they had to stop allowing dogs inside. The Bark Bar in Denver was not an indoor restaurant, but a dog park bar and coffee place and again, neighbors and code enforcement shut them down. Local government would not give guidelines to how to comply before these businesses opened, so hopefully it will be different in the Springs. I'm really hoping governments can work with business people to make the concept work because for the few months I could take my dogs inside the Watering Bowl, it was awesome.

Re: “Lawyer and (animal) lover

Jennifer, my comment about my time at The Animal Law Center was meant to be "off the record." And the pit bull cases were contingency with statutory attorney fees if the parties prevailed, not pro bono. I didn't mean to start a war of words with you. God knows we will always have our differences. Juliet Piccone, founder of The Piccone Law Firm, Colorado Animal Attorneys and Animal Attorneys of the Rocky Mountains (non-profit).
