Re: “Quijote's, Black Bear Coffee, Steele Smokin

Quijote's was a huge disappointment. Service was horrible and the food not much better. They could not get anything right, green chile was so bland, in fact none of the tastes were memorable in any way. My two dining companions had the same opinion. Never going back. So my advice is... Don't go!!

Re: “NYC's unique Mexican makeup

This column just has to be one of the best media-generated practical jokes. The questions are positively ludicrous, and Lord, the answers are so damn preposterous. Obviously, Arelleno gets paid for this racist, juvenile drivel, but I can't for the life of me figure out why. There is no illumination here whatsoever. There are so many more journalistic products that would not be such a waste of ink and paper.

Re: “Reform schooled

So voters are all in favor of the right wing policies of these so-called reformers, but they just don't like the "personalities" of the folks who espouse them? THAT'S the problem? The likability of the messengers? Give me a break. Tons of people abhor Trump's "personality," but they love, love, love his message. Caldera, you better look for a better excuse for your failures. Better yet, take the hint and hit the road. Voters are indeed smarter than you think -- especially tax-paying supporters of America's public school system.

Re: “The 100-foot wall (and slide)

Just get rid of this column already. Total waste of ink and paper. The writer is an idiotic hater. Beneath Indy standards (I hope).

Re: “Initiative 2C, Ask a Mexican, Manitou schools, and more

While living in Albuquerque for a brief period of time, I picked up the Alternative paper on a regular basis and began to read "Ask a Mexican" each week. Even then, I thought it pushed the envelope in very sophomoric ways. I like "edgy" reporting that Alternative weeklies offer, and which quite frankly, it is a niche I expect them to fill. However, "Ask a Mexican" is just plain offensive to practically every constituency... and worse? It's not even funny.

Re: “Poverty and homelessness, the pothole tax, sex advice, and more

I must wholeheartedly agree with Ms. Johnson and Ms. Shick's remarks regarding "Ask Amy." I totally get that the Indy needs an advice column with an "edge," but come on, this women is the snarkiest, meanest and least articulate of any similar column I have ever read. There is never any real advice; it's just a platform for the columnist to experiment with a new routine, much like an open mic at a comedy club. Please find someone else.

Re: “Slipping away

The primary thing that bothers me the most about this activity is the criminal waste of the most precious natural resource of all...water.
