Whoever said children should be seen and not heard never saw a lineup like this: More than 300 precocious players from the Pikes Peak region will perform in the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony Association's popular annual holiday concert. The concert will showcase all six of the association's ensembles: Amadeus Strings, Vivace Strings, Encore! Youth Orchestra, Pikes Peak Concert Band, Pikes Peak Wind Symphony, and the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony. The groups comprise over 300 young musicians ages 8-18, all of whom must audition.

Music director for the CSYSA Gary Nicholson believes in the power of what these kids can do. "It's amazing what these kids are able to achieve," he said. "They deserve to be recognized for their sacrifice, talent and dedication. All of Colorado Springs should be proud of this event."

The smorgasbord performance will feature some local celebrity guests along with a special performance by the Pikes Peak Performance Company.
