Re: “Sexual assault victims say Air Force Academy uses mental health counseling to get rid of them

So, where does the process begin to remedy this awful situation at the Air Force Academy and likely the other Military Academies? While this problem "seems" more prevalent at AFA, how does anyone know if all sexual assaults are being reported at the USMA and USNA? We can be sure fear is a common denominator at each academy.

The next step MUST be taken to authenticate what is in this article which will not be easy. If, and I mean IF people's medical records have been falsified and cadets have been railroaded out of school, how can you trust anything coming from the AFA regarding any of this? You can be sure they will do everything to stonewall the release of information because of privacy laws, have records go missing, and anything else they can throw at you.

I am a retired Air Force NCO who was proud to serve so I'm no hater when it comes to the military. Do I take everything in this article as the gospel? No. But it's not totally fake news, either. This article absolutely sickened me because I have the highest regard for our military academies, warts and all, but this situation, if true, is way beyond warts and all. It's criminal and needs to be treated as such and needs to go back at least 10 years. You can be sure this attitude towards sexual assault and reporting sexual assault goes back much longer.
