Why bother? The USOC isn't going anywhere. The training center was always here to stay. You are talking about maybe retaining 100 or so people to stay in a downtown HQ building, hardly enough people to count as an economic windfall for the city. And, with other cities broke, I doubt any other city would be rolling out the red carpet for them.

The USOC does not treat its employees well anyway. It claims they are family, but actions speak louder than words. In its recent reduction in force last month, it put every single employee through the mental torture of having to report to some random office on campus to meet with some random director only to be told that they were either "safe" or were out the door. It was like Russian roulette, not knowing if they were staying or going. How simply cruel to put every employee through that mental anguish. Not the kind of family I would want to be a part of.
