Re: “A void in many hearts

Ted was a very compassionate individual, who understood the struggles of the poor. He wanted to transform the lives of the unfortunate by proposing health care strategies that are affordable and available to them. There's a saying that, " Good people die first", and I truly believe that. He was such an inspiration and hope for the indigent, that his spirit was too good to wander here on earth. I, personally, believe that good souls like Ted, are not meant to live long stressful lives, but rather, to make a difference and live their legacies behind for others to follow. He will be truly missed. I did not know him personally, but hearing about all the good things he did, forced me to allow him into my thoughts and heart. Interestingly, Ted was very humble, for he grew up being parented by a single-mother, and knew what it was like to struggle. As an adult he never forgot where he came from and did what he could to help others. His mother did a great job parenting him and he expressed that through his good deeds in his community. I attended his Memorial Service because I felt there was a connection somehow. My heart goes out to all his loved ones and friends, and hope that they will carry out his memory and legacy. Ted, you were a blessing and still is. Leslie. RIP.
