Re: “Gays bash Hobby Lobby as insensitive

I believe that anyone who is in public service should either be ready to deal with the PUBLIC or find a more suiting profession. I know that the bible does say homosexual persons and relationships are a no no. I don't remember the part where god said now go forth and be hostile or rude to these people. If god chooses to pass judgement on homosexual persons at the pearly gates, then so be it. We as people are not god and do not reserve the right. There are many things I disapprove of myself, but I am not about to go and blatently insult people for their personal decisions. That only makes me a bad person. I don't think god wants us to be mean and hateful. Only make good decisions for ourselves. In a business sense it would be ridiculous as well to promote such behavior. In this economy it is not wise to turn away any patrons for any reason. So what if you do not agree with their life choices they are supporting your business. Also you never know, you may have sold items to pedifiles, rapisits, child abusers, even murderers, you just don't know because you can't openly assess that. Just because someone is not gay does not mean they are "sin free." Simply live and let live. Do your job and and let god do his.

Re: “St. Paddy's Day Two off the hook

I believe that the whole scene was very unproductive for all involved. I feel if the city wants to have a parade, i have an option as a person to choose wether or not to attend. If I don't agree with the message then I just won't go. I do not feel that police brutality is the only issue here. I believe that all activists and organizations have their rights to their beliefs, but it seems more and more that the extents they will go to deliver their messages are becoming unreasonable. ( i know the freedom of speach bit, but it seems some are a little abusive/liberal with it to satisfy egos ) I feel if you want to be heard then preach to the people who want to listen, write an article, a book, put up posters, make a web site, art, music, but to disturb a public gathering is pushing to far in my opinion. It ruins everyones good time. i guess simply put, time and place you know. how do you teach peace by disturbing the peace? by starting another war? what kind of messages were sent to the many adults and children? As far as the officers, i was not there. so if they were out of hand that is unfortunate. i would not prefer to have that view twords the many men and women that are there to protect us. although i am quite sure there are more good than bad. either way to end this novel, to me it seems alot of people did not completely think things through, acted very irrational and completely forgot their responsibilities to the general public, and not surprisingly no one cares to acknowledge their part in it.
