Re: “Schnitzel Fritz

Wahoo - the paper plates are gone. I've had both the schnitzel ($8.99) and the rouladen ($8.99) there recently and found them both to be good. Cannot go to four stars though, as I really wanted a draft beer to go along with them.

Re: “Officer who testified in Maketa case says he misspoke

The Sheriff of El Paso County shouldn't be an elected position. Residents need integrity and honest in this position, something a political office cannot provide.

Re: “Poll: Springs voters would approve new fee for drainage control

You know what we need from this Mayor and City Council? A plan. You know, one of those things that keeps you from careening from one daily crisis to another. Why don't we have one? Because its better for them if you don't know what they are planning to do, as you cannot object to something you don't know is in the works.

What happens when you don't have a plan?

Surprise! We need $50 million to keep the Olympic Headquarters in town
Surprise! We need a $2 billion Southern Delivery System
Surprise! We need to lease Memorial Hospital and pay PERA $190 million
Surprise! We need a City for Champions proposal (Cost unknown but likely $50-100 million for "infrastructure")
Surprise! We need a billion dollars for roads
Surprise! We need a billion dollars for stormwater improvements
Surprise! We need $50 million for Pikes Peak Summit House replacement

Beginning to see a pattern here? It would be funny if it wasn't costing us money and damaging the national reputation of this city.

Re: “Whirlyball to bring recreation, craft beer to central Springs

I wish him luck, but this guy apparently didn't do much research. Nobody within 3 miles of Rustic Hills drinks craft beer and Colorado Springs is far from a bowling mecca. The only thing being rolled around here are drunks and joints.

Re: “Letter of counseling surfaces in El Paso County Sheriff's Office case

Just another argument for ridding ourselves of the elected Sheriff position. People in charge of law enforcement have to be well-trained, experienced, and show a history of excellent job performance. They should NOT be in this position because they spent more on election day yard signs than someone else.

Re: “CU regents OK funding for UCCS sports medicine center

This sure doesn't seem like a project the Regional TOURISM Act should have sponsored.

Re: “Local lawmakers split over Comey testimony

A good source to read/see the entirety of Comey's testimony is at the NY Times site. Here is the link:
