‘How can I miss you, when you won’t go away?” sang Dan Hicks back in the 1970s, and that same question could be asked of the decade that inspired Lost 80’s Live. Against all odds, this perennial package tour continues to fill arenas with its rotating cast of largely B-level new wave acts.

While the Duran Durans and Depeche Modes of the world are content to stay home, their less-heralded contemporaries are eager for the opportunity to play before huge crowds for a decent paycheck.

No surprise then that interestingly coiffed two-hit wonders like A Flock of Seagulls, Missing Persons and Wang Chung show up year after year. The current tour will also give us Martha Davis (pictured here) with her band The Motels, The Tubes featuring Fee Waybill, The Vapors, Dramarama and several bands you’ve never heard of. In other words, totally awesome.
