Re: “The tick and the time bomb

I too am fighting Lyme in northern California. Figured it out myself on the internet after 5 years of doctors, operations, misdiagnoses, etc. If you will go to the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (the good guys) - ILADS.org - there you will find Dr. Joseph Burrascano's newly revised recommendations for Lyme disease for doctors. It is an absolute must to read if you have Lyme - for you AND your doctor. Burrascano is the top Lyme doctor in the U.S. He cured Pamela Weintraub, author of Cure Unknown (a terrific new book on Lyme), after years of her having Lyme and co-infections. In fact her whole family had Lyme at some time, her two sons more than once and they are all cured. Burrascano doesn't see patients anymore. He does research and compiles info from lots of Lyme-literate doctors all over the country (it's in every state whether the CDC says so or not). My doctor was the president of ILADS, one of only 3 here in the San Francisco area. It took me a while to find him. Another good book is Beating Lyme by Constance Bean (with Dr. Leslie Fein). She too was cured. Good luck to you all. Keep sharing info and don't give up.
