Re: “You've got mail

@rt, I agree with you on this issue, and I think the number of people who understand this is slowly growing. I don't know if you saw my letter in the Feb 17 Indy about the Copper Ridge development, but I would love to undertake something to raise awareness of the issue or do something to fight it. I did a little bit of volunteer work for Growthbusters, but I would like to see what would happen if we pushed for an urban growth boundary in the Springs, or at least stopped favoring developers. If your interested at all, don't hesitate to write me back and we'll see if we can start something. I don't know what the Indy policy is about posting my email here, so I won't do it, but someone with good computer skills should have a hard time tracking me down or getting a message to me.

Re: “Dangerous intersection

I would actually like to see the PPRTA funding increased. It has satisfied me that it is a good steward of public funds, unlike a lot of other public figures and entities currently in government. For anyone who wants to see how our money has been put to good use around the Pikes Peak area, take a look at the report the PPRTA publishes a few times a year. If I remember correctly, it's usually an insert in the Indy as well. Perhaps we could tackle some transit issues next, like bus prioritization for traffic lights, or the streetcar downtown (the study is already done).

Re: “For the love of a road

If anything is blighted, it's First and Main. How many years has it been, and there are still big empty fields and construction fences around? If this was Sim City, that little blue bar that designates commercial demand would be way off the bottom of the screen.
