A lot more than just a slogan came out of that regional branding project for the cost. After community conversations, the result was a new, authentic and locally-sourced logo and brand guidelines.

This tax is charged in many cities nationwide, CVBs focus mainly on bringing LARGE events to the area, conventions, annual company retreats, reunions etc. The leisure traveler is very important, but also a smaller percentage of who the organization markets to. Meeting planners rely on CVBs to serve them and would not choose a destination if they didn't have access to one to help with all of their event needs. There have been numerous studies and evaluations done to prove that for every $1 given to this local organization, it returns MUCH larger amounts. Pretty sound investment if you ask me.
