Re: “Council adopts RV parking ban

"Where are the creative problem solvers in our city government?"
Well; they are downtown; and they seem to have taken note of the gross abusage of our fine cities more than generous charity, and acceptance.
What the city got in return was campsite after campsite overflowing with trash, bodily wastes, hypodermic needles, and violent crime.

"On a law abiding basis" ... and that is the bad rub. Can't follow traditional manners and social graces of simple hygiene; then please go elsewhere; behave the same disrespectful way; and they will again be moved along their way.
"Free" is not free. Free might mean keeping an area clean. Free parking is not going to all of a sudden create some sudden sense of ~Duh, now I wills puts my trashes in the trashes cans!~. Free parking would unfortunately result in some 10 gallon dump of a RVs septic tank; and with the RV simply driving away.
We all love the concept. Current iteration is not and has not worked.

Re: “Concrete Couch: We're making "A Place for All to Meet and Make"

That area is a disgusting mess. Trash is everywhere; and by this time next year; all of the trees will have been cut down for firewood.
Anybody donating towards this needs to take a first person walk through; and all against it need to do the same.
Disgusting. Trash is EVERYWHERE.

Re: “Manitou Springs City Council OKs new agreement with Cog Railway

So; since Pueblo no longer has any steel works; the Clog can import the millions of dollars worth of steel; and that is good for Colorado, because?
Oh look; a squirrel?

I am So glad I do not live in Manitou. Aside from a city named after all the dead Native Americans that no longer exist; this whole Clog deal is just, IDK; stupidest thing to ever happen in the front range region.

Hai; steel? Oh, hello Overseas steel mills. F-you; Pueblo.

Can not wait to see 'buy local', and 'Colorado Proud' signs on the New Clog RR.

Re: “Reader: Concrete Couch took on a project it can't handle

Don't just read about it; take a trip and walk through it. N of Las Vegas; W of Royer. An environmental disaster in presence. Careful - five gallon buckets for toilets, needles, and altered states of rage may be present.
This is not an Utopia. This is a horrific gathering of bodily waste and trash. Never mind the 10 cubic yard dumpster; the ground is right there. No effort required.

Re: “A note of transparency on the Cog

The "Clog" railroad.

Hi. We want tax breaks. To use imported steel.
Oh, you have a city to the south that still has steel mills?

Hi. We want tax breaks. And monies. From cities around us.

To use imported steel.

"Clog" railroad.

Stay closed. Stay Clogged. Can't use local resources; then the Clog is No Longer A Local Resource.

How does an entire city buy into such a giant load of failure to the very area the Clog is (was) at?

Oh, but here comes the hand to be given money. Money that will go overseas. To buy imported rail.

Re: “Photographer Bill Young focuses his camera on homelessness and dialogue

I want to see a nice panorama of a field; with mounds of trash surrounding an unused 30 yard dumpster.
Because although I care about the homeless; I will never understand their abusage of the world that they do live in - our Colorado outdoors and natural lands.
The Concrete Couch has a giant dumpster such as the one mentioned; and teh Concrete Couch's current outdoor project also has miscellaneous trash and garbage all over it's property; in and around Shooks Run.
Too bad none of the homeless can't take turns volunteering to clean up their own areas.

Re: “Mayor John Suthers presents record-high Colorado Springs budget for 2019

A $171,000 Quality of Life/Cleanup Crew? Can the 'homeless' Not clean up after themselves? We feed them, clothe them, attempt to house them (not wanting to go inside is not wanting to go inside - a personal decision; not a OMG no bedz! imposition), medical clinic them, and on and on.
Mother Nature is being _RAPED_ by these so called "campers"; and now we are going to pay to clean up after them?
Where is the SRM now? Is the Marion House having any trips to assist with the debacle along South Shooks Run? Has the Blackbird landed anywhere and actually done anything? Much more than just sitting on the Concrete Couch going on?

Is that really what people are calling "Charity" and "Evangelism"?
If so; it is a five gallon bucket full of it.
