Re: “False alarm about Oct. 13

Well, I don't want to call it aliens, but something definitely appeared over Manhattan yesterday afternoon. I personally witnessed several objects from roughly 1:15 in the afternoon until 5:00 when I left the office and headed up to PABT to catch my bus home.

What were they? I have no idea but it was a very humbling experience for me. All I can tell you is what they weren't and that is balloons. Unless of course balloons can maintain a hover in formation while others change position all relative to one another at the same time. CBS has a video that doesn't even remotely resemble what was actually witnessed above Manhattan yesterday.

The shocking thing to me was that there really isn't decent video of the event despite the sheer number of people in Manhattan looking up at the time. There's only one I saw that looked similar to what I witnessed that was taken from an office window and shows nearly a dozen objects in close formation. In reality, me and my colleagues witnessed nearly two dozen objects looking north from 23rd street around Park Ave. At first we thought they were helicopters until we had a chance to focus on them and witness several general aviation aircraft fly inbetween us and the objects. These were standard commercial airliners flying into either LaGuardia or JFK. The aircraft provided a very strong reference point with respect to how high these objects truly were.

The objects themselves looked like silver orbs gathered in formation. Several were completely motionless while others moved around in the formation in such a way that would not be expected of a baloon floating around in the wind. All in all a truly remarkable experience and one like I've never had in my life. Aliens? I have no idea, definitely not balloons though. My only other thought is perhaps we were witnessing geosynchronous sattelites being illuminated just right by the sun throughout the afternoon.

Take this eyewitness account however you like, I'm indifferent. All I know is whatever it was I witnessed yesterday will never be forgotten as long as I live.

Take care.
