Bitch and Animal
Armstrong quad at Colorado College near Cascade Avenue and Cache La Poudre (rain location: Bemis Hall)
Wednesday, March 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Free, 389-6606

Punk rockin', funk rappin', twang-bangin' feministas Bitch and Animal will blaze through town again this coming Wednesday night, stopping off for an outdoor show in the Armstrong quad at Colorado College. Equal parts stand-up comics, vaudevillians and political rabble-rousers, these multitalented gender upenders are now on the final leg of their "Pussy Primary Tour" behind their recent album Sour Juice and Rhyme. Satirical rants against Gloria Steinem, Pac-Man love songs, paeans to croquet, indictments of corporate America for the events of 9/11, and spoken word diatribes against the patriarchy comprise their show. Though they recently gained a degree of fame as the opening act for Ani DiFranco (who also signed them to her Righteous Babe Records), Bitch and Animal announced that they'll be splitting up after this tour. There will be a Take Back the Night march in protest of violence against women immediately following the show.
