Live from Colorado Springs ... it's Saturday Night Groove!

Brandon Henry and Papi Sorrellis have a vision. That vision is of Colorado Springs growing as a united front against playa haters and cynical scenesters. As a war cry for scene support, the two have begun the weekly Saturday Night Groove, which debuts on Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the ICON nightclub. The Saturday Night Groove, which is held rather inexplicably on Wednesdays, is an innovative leap in performing and marketing. The shows will initially feature all-local talent and will be recorded onto DVDs that the performers will receive. Henry and Sorrellis are currently working on an agreement with the Adelphia television network to broadcast the recorded performances on a regular basis. Beyond all the promotional hubbub, with rockers Nocturnal Tomatoes (pictured above), DJ Shiloh, and comedian Jed Haffer performing the first night, it should be a good show. The Groove is currently looking for more performers, so those interested should call Henry at 210-3488 or Sorrellis at 930-7350.
