Prague Spring with Love Me Destroyer and The Great Redneck Hope
Navajo Hogan, 2817 N. Nevada Ave.
Saturday, May 7

This, friends, is a story of a city working to make some gut-busting music. James Tanner (guitar, vocals), Steve Antonovich (guitar), Geoff Brent (bass), and Adam Woloszyn (drums) are the fab four of Prague Spring, a local band with a vendetta against healthy eardrums. Woloszyn and Tanner started the group in 2003 (then known as Anamani), hosting a rotating number of musicians, including members of Harrison Bergeron, Abracastabya and The Right Aways. Coming together like the rival gangs from MJ's "Beat It" video, the groups formed an alliance to produce the sort of screamo/hard-core styling so popular with kids nowadays. Thanks to a healthy, supportive system of cute hipster girls and fellow Springs scenesters, the fine young fellows of Prague Spring seem to be thriving. They'll be rockin', much like Dokken, at the Navajo Hogan on Saturday, May 7. Check out music clips and pics at www.myspace.com/thepraguespring.
