Reader: Cheyenne Blvd's shuttle woes

Letters

Regarding the Manitou Cog Railway deal: One only needs to observe Cheyenne Boulevard, where they rerouted all of the Seven Falls shuttle buses through a quiet neighborhood.

A recent meeting took place with representatives from Seven Falls who said that the shuttles come by every 20 minutes. They come by, in fact, every three to four minutes, even during the week they're off peak times. So if you're concerned about the traffic and the infrastructure in Manitou it's something to be worried about, because they rerouted them from the Broadmoor right through our neighborhood, staging them at the Norris Penrose Event Center for parking.

The Broadmoor and Mr. Anschutz should be responsible for their own infrastructure to support their money-making attractions. The Cheyenne Boulevard area is a long-standing area that is known for its pedestrian traffic, children running and Olympians training. And now we have every four minutes a shuttle bus running up to Seven Falls — I counted 13 buses in a 50-minute span.
