Reader: Thanks for passing your mistakes to my generation

I don't ever want to hear again that the Republican Party is the party of lower spending, reduced government, and the middle class. When you pass a bill that became publicly available to read hours before its passage, crafted by lobbyists with enormous corporate windfalls, huge tax breaks for the wealthy, and add a trillion dollars in debt onto the working poor's back, you don't get to say those things anymore. You're just a hypocritical, greedy liar who pretends to think your political and religious affiliations protect you from the facts of your actions.

I would also like to personally thank the older generation who predominantly still rule this country for officially kicking the financial, climate and social problems of this world past their own tombstones so that my generation and my kids' generation are left to suffer the consequences. It's so reassuring to see you pass the responsibility of your generations' actions and mistakes to me and my generation. As the old adage goes, "The children are our future, but I never wanted them in the first place."

Thank you so much.
