Reader: What's really keeping America great

I am a senior citizen. I recently stopped at the Subway on Research Boulevard.

A young lady in hospital scrubs held the door for me even though she was obviously in a hurry. She was in front of me in line. When I approached the cashier to pay for my sandwich, he said it was taken care of, that the young lady had paid for it. She was already gone so I couldn't even thank her.

I abhor the lying, bigotry and racism coming from the White House. I have faith that our future is in the hands of our capable young people of today. That is, if they survive the shootings enhanced by no gun control.

So, Darlin', if you happen to read this, thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness to me. Thank you for your service to all of us in the health-care career you've chosen.

You, and others like you, are what keeps America great!
