Re: “Letters

Dan Morgan, your comment is right on. For those who don't see the hypocrisy, I don't know what to say. Let's call a spade a spade and not play with political loyalties. Since when did we stop Questioning (all) Authority, no matter who the leader of the year is? No, Obama has never been placed under a microscope, as mainstream media has been in bed with him all along. Most of America demonized the h*** out of Bush for years on end (remember, "Buck Fush," endless comparisons to Hitler--and Bush is no Hitler; as a Jew I can vouch for that--monkey comparisons...I am barely scratching the surface) yet when some negatives here and there are said about Obama, watch out because those whose loyalties to this figurehead are unshakable will seethe in rage if you hold a differing opinion. (What national leader is not expected to roll with the punches? Are we not giving Obama enough credit for facing up to what he must as the great leader of our nation? Should we give him more credit for deflecting these insults? Or do we need to protect him as if he were a true victim?) I find great fear in the fact that so many US citizens do not see clearly this double standard. And no, Obama is nowhere near being a middle-of-the road Dem.--he is the farthest left leaning president we have ever had, more than Carter and far more than the Clintons. Please, be open to what Dan was suggesting. If we're too afraid to self-examine and listen to others' views (no matter what "side" they are on), what hope do we have as a nation and as individuals?
