Seventh annual Scale the Scar Hike at the quarry gate located near the 30th Street entrance to the Navigators Service Center. Registration fee: $15-$17.50 for adults & $10 kids. Sat., Sept. 14, registration at 8 a.m., hike at 8:30 a.m. For more, call 442-6949.

Annual trails celebration hike, bike and run presented by TOPS (Trails, Open Space and Parks) Free family event begins at the Palmer Lake trailhead, follows the Santa Fe Trail through the Pikes Peak Greenway trail and ends at Bear Creek Park.
