Reverb knows you local musicians are keeping an eye on us, so here's one for you: On Sunday, Nov. 20, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Colorado Music Association (coloradomusic.org) is holding its monthly meeting and panel, open to "everyone interested in the music scene." The topic is an important one: "Contracts, Licensing and Taxes: A Presentation by Kevin Houchin with Colorado Lawyers for the Arts." Check Houchin's cred at HouchinLaw.com and CoLA's at ColoradoArtsLawyers.org. The meeting takes place at The Toad Tavern (5302 S. Federal Circle, Littleton).

Colorado rockers Ultrachronic are celebrating the release of their self-titled CD at The Soiled Dove (1949 Market St., Denver) this Friday, Nov. 11. The show starts at 8 p.m. with Eight-O-Two and Lopseyed. Sorry, kiddos, but this one's 21 and up. Tickets currently are listed at $6, but don't be surprised if that price jumps a couple bucks after 10 p.m., when drinkers trolling the streets of LoDo get desperate for entry into any establishment that's not at capacity. The Chron (that's our usage) bill themselves as playing "aggressive groove-rock." Do some fact-checking at ultrachronic.com.

Check out California's Tera Melos as they tour through the Springs on Thursday, Nov. 10. Although the quartet functions as an instrumental band, cast aside any notions of wiggy jam-bandedness. These boys deliver an aggressive mix of hardcore punk, ambient techno and jazz. Visit myspace.com/teramelos for sound clips. The show (also featuring local bands, including JTIS) will take place at what generally is known as Arlo's House (34 W. Navajo St.). Show up at 8 p.m. and be prepared to shell out a measly and apparently negotiable $3-$5.

In town: Grass it Up, Black Forest Community Center (12530 Black Forest Road), Nov. 11; Radio London, Thunder & Buttons II (2415 W. Colorado Ave.) Nov. 11-12; Planes Mistaken for Stars, The Black Sheep (2106 East Platte Ave.), Nov. 12; It Dies Today, The Black Sheep, Nov. 15.

Up north: Depeche Mode, Magness Arena, Denver, Nov. 11; Avenged Sevenfold, Ogden Theatre, Denver, Nov. 15; Molotov, Gothic Theatre, Englewood, Nov. 16; Clay Aiken, Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Nov. 16; Lagwagon, Ogden Theatre, Nov. 17; The Dwarves, Bluebird Theater, Denver, Nov. 21; Static X, Ogden Theatre, Nov. 22; Yellowcard, Fox Theatre, Boulder, Nov. 22.
