Heads up, local heads: Glow Digital Video Studios is gearing up for the premiere of its second annual trio of local hip-hop videos, Hip-Hop TV 2. If you weren't around for the first installation, staged last year at the venue then known as 32 Bleu, the premiere combines music video, documentary and live performance. This year, Glow Digital is producing videos and docs (free of charge) of Accumen1 and Soul Food Hustle. The company still is seeking a third act to feature. (Remember, it's free.) Interested performers should contact Angel Rosado at 360-7428 -- and fast. This year's premiere will take place Dec. 16 at The Black Sheep (2106 E. Platte Ave.).

Longtime local industrial/metal rockers Godless Promise Mechanism are releasing a new full-length CD, Virus, this Friday, Dec. 2 at The Black Sheep. The group originally formed in '95, took a hiatus for several years, and changed several band members before re-forming in January '04. Their sound is in the vein of Skinny Puppy, KMFDM and NIN, which should delight Springs industrial fans. They'll be joined by Ten After Eight, AnaDies and Varient, with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 at ticketweb.com or at the door.

Russell Spaeth, longtime proprietor of Music Exchange (305 E. Pikes Peak Ave.), has sold the celebrated business to employee Ed Johnson, electric guitarist for the classic-rock group The Broadcasters. Voted Best Musical Instrument Shop in the Independent's Best of 2004 issue, Music Exchange has catered to local and national performers over the years, including Amy Grant, Los Lobos and White Zombie, to name just a few. Spaeth began his relationship with the shop back in 1986, when he became an employee for $5 an hour. After 19 years, he says he wants to do something else. "I've read this book," he says, "and I'm ready to read another one."

In town: Eric O, Adam's Mountain Caf (110 Cañon Ave., Manitou Springs), Dec. 1; Sanguine Addiction CD Release Party, Classics (5943 Delmonico Drive), Dec. 3; Calico System, The Black Sheep, Dec. 5.

Go north: Mudvayne, Fillmore Auditorium, Denver, Dec. 10; The Blasters, Bluebird Theater, Denver, Dec. 10; All-American Rejects with Rooney, Ogden Theatre, Denver, Dec. 12.
