Re: “

Quaint building (not a whole lot of parking) with a fun, eclectic interior consisting of dining spots and a shop; within easy walking distance of downtown Old Colorado. Both the seating and the items for sale feature a mixture of local and international items ranging from jewelry, hats and clothing to glass perfume bottles and hair clips.

Each table represents a region of the world, some being more whimsical than others. The larger tables make it easier to get all the goodies you want from the menu, and there are some excellent goodies. Be sure to use your bell, since the waitress tends to leave you be unless summoned (whether or not there are other people dining).

I've never had a bad scone (which pairs perfectly with the clotted cream and lemon curd), the tea selection is fantastic (owner personally travels around the world and brings back only the best), and the desserts are delectable. Some of the main course items leave a little to be desired, but that hasn't stopped me from going back (and leaving stuffed every time).

Unless you're wanting the high tea experience, which does require a reservation (typically a day or two in advance is perfect), just show up. However, calling ahead is recommended since the hours are limited and it is completely closed a couple days each week.

Bon appetit!
