Re: “UPDATE: Humans not to blame for global warming, Utilities chair says

The real problem is making poor decisions based on fear. An example in point would be approving a wind project without understanding the serious side effects of these massive pieces of turbine and blades on the countryside and people, as well as the very real effects of high power overhead transmission lines. When health and welfare are sacrificed to line some people's pockets (as they say) and the very people who are being damaged are being forced to pay for it the country (or county) is pretty much shot. Well, I for one do not want to say that about my homeland.

If Longinos Gonzales Jr is saying that we need to do our best to take care of the quality of our resources (air, water, land for example) he is making sense. He is also right if he is saying that global warming is a concept that is being abused as a fear-mongering tactic. The pollution of the earth's surface (or even pollution through the upper crust) is a very small factor in the cause-effect ratio of the health of this planet, and should be treated with the discretion some of the more level-headed scientists are demonstrating.

Wisdom cares about the next generation. Wisdom does not leave piles of garbage for someone else to clean up. Money comes and goes, but problems made by money can kill and we seem to forget that destruction is on us when we condone it; saying no to wrong is the first gift we can give our next generation.
