Re: “Reader: My AR-15 will never kill anyone

Right on. I have been saying this for years. The arguments are endless with some people not understanding that NO firearm has EVER killed anyone.

Re: “Iconic sites are closing due to irresponsible social media users, and Veterans Day free park access

I almost exclusively shoot film for this reason when hiking or looking for new places and I don't use a cell phone for pictures on my trips. Great article.

Re: “Reader: It's time to push back

"Do they really have any intention of helping themselves or are we just enabling them? " Both. We have friends the work with the missions and churches to try to help these people and the answer they get is "no". I don't want to work, they don't want to be responsible, they want everything handed to them without having to work for it. They are lazy and don't care about anything but themselves. Yet, we give them everything that they need to stay in the streets and "camp" along our rivers while polluting everything around them with trash, drug paraphernalia, pot smoke, and human excrement.

Re: “Users worry about safety on urban trails, but police say most violence is among homeless

Okay, so they are safe, but the past 3 times my wife and I have gone riding, we have passed homeless smoking pot on the trail. I don't want to smell that!! I don't care how "safe" the trails are if we have to smell cigarette and pot smoke for most of our 30 mile rides.

Re: “Attention Portrait Photographers: Stop tearing the place up

Good! Unfortunately, this needs to be done in more places than not. Much of Colorado is a photographer's dream come true and you can see it everywhere. Garden of the Gods is probably where I have seen it most over my past 6 years of living here. It is very difficult to enjoy the rock formations there.
