It's good that Mr Nichol has been given some space in which to present his opinions. He did a fairly good job. I'd quibble with how he phrased a few things.

It's too bad he doesn't know that the evolution of the eye - from pigment spots to something almost the same as the human eye - can easily be shown within the mollusc family of sea animals. This information certainly refutes the "the eye is too complex" argument of creationist critics.

He also has a mistaken opinion that "agnosticism" is somehow a different category from atheism. It is not. All agnostics are first of all either atheists, or theists, before modifying their atheism or theism with either agnosticism or gnosticism. If someone doesn't believe in any gods, they are an atheist, whether agnostic or gnostic about it.

I would rather have seen more of a "I'm an atheist and there are more of us out there than you'd think", tone to the article, but overall he did okay, and made some good points.
