Re: “For the love of a road

Gee do those folks that live up near Northgate feel about having their neighborhood designated as "blighted" or a urban renewal site?

Re: “What now for the Gazette?

Advocating an opposing point of view is the embodiment of "diversity", not intolerance. Similarly, taking a political position that is critical of President Obama's policies is not racist. As for the "G's" so-called 'fresh ink', in reality it was nothing but 'recycled' ink, hashing over stories that had already been produced elsewhere (sort of the way that the G recycled the Indy's PERA story.)
It might be a good idea for John Weiss to buy the G, but then it would have to present a more balanced form of news coverage to be truly viable. If you want to see intolerance in action, just go to a democratic caucus and try to get the group to seriously consider evangelical Christianity, pro-life advocacy, or school vouchers as important platform factors.

Re: “Trading views with teens

Typically huge leap in the liberal democratic cause & effect logic there, Ralph.....
Alcohol kills more people than guns.
Automobiles and trucks kill more people than guns.
Doctors kill more people than guns.
Smoking kills more people than guns.
Only one of the above has a Constitutional you don't know which.

Re: “County lost in the dark

New name for the complex? How about "Boondoggle Acres," "Electioneering Estates," "Skullduggery Square," "The Money Pit," "Proctology Park," "The Kremlin," "Deception Drive"? Pick one...any one. Seeing the title of this article, why not "Stuck Where the Sun Never Shines"?

Re: “Our big need: a civic center can be done. We first need to find out which city council person or county supervisor has a vested interest in suitable large properties in the area. Once that has been accomplished, we get them to see if they can get urban renewal funds approved for the project. Think positively! Once those steps have been achieved, screen the potential construction contractor candidates and eliminate the ones who don't have relatives of relatives working for the city or county. Piece of cake. Then the "strong' mayor can throw all these accomplishments out and bring in his friends from California (or Delaware). As before, let those who stand to make the most money from a civic (sic. convention) center bankroll the project.

Re: “Clear view from far away

There still people alive who refuse to touch a dime because they have FDR's likeness on them. One man's treasure is another man's trash.

Re: “Gazette's Endorsements 101

The Gazette...too stiff for toilet paper or kleenex.
