In serving on the City's Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Advisory Board from 2010-2017, the worst decision we made was passing the Broadmoor Land Swap. Three of us voted against the action item in April 2016 — Scot Hume, Alex (not remembering his last name) and myself.
I believe that anytime our City starts considering the selling of parks and open spaces, the public's trust of leadership evaporates. Whether the measure is giving City Council super majority power or selling property, responsible citizens will say, "No," to these kind of actions.
