Culinary crumbs and gastronomic gossip

Fries and frames
The Grill Next Door (clever!) opened this past week at 26A S. Wahsatch Ave., attached to the Triple Nickel Tavern. Co-owners Adam Halcomb and Scott DeWalt have designed a menu of soups, sandwiches and salads all made in-house and ranging from $3 to $8 that includes items like chicken and tuna salad as well as veggie patties and burgers.

Halcomb says the grill's focusing on "really good, simple, homemade foods." The business will also serve as a small, commission-free art gallery with shows by local artists, starting with Dave Voth.

Hours will be daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Call 634-8438 for more.
