Re: “Taté Walker: Feminism is not a single story

Tat says that means that white or white-passing folks need to get past our defensive reactions, and recognize, uh, I have work to do and my ignorance has me all up in my feelings, but as a quality individual its up to me to do better and ensure my circle around me does better too.

The most ignorant statement DiverseCity has ever published. This goes hand in hand with the passive aggressive racial statements normally injected in this column. Column started for a sentence or two as a piece written about women, quickly criticizing "white women", morphed into a Native American topic, injected a quick snippet how Latino/Black women suffer as much as Native American's, indirectly blamed all white people, then completed with the statement above. Women, minorities, LGBT's; you'll keep repeating your own despair as long as you continue to play the "victim."

Re: “Jared Polis, and Colorado voters, make history

Speaking of Polis and the state of Colorado; how anyone can win Gov. when their main platform is full day kindergarten really shows how much Colorado has become Colofornia. Denver's Gay Men's Chorus? I don't see how a persons sexuality matters when singing, unless of course your name is R. Kelly.

Re: “Jared Polis announces first cabinet picks

Can't believe this dipshit won by basing his campaign on full-time kindergarten. Glad we're addressing the things that really matter. Welcome to Colofornia!

Re: “I-25 toll lanes and town halls: Filling in the gaps about the expansion

Typical Colorado. Please vote for this tax increase so we can make your commute easier, gotcha bitch! Now pay me again to use the lane. I like how they try and soften the blow by claiming it's the lowest toll in the State, what a joke. Guess what, toll way to DIA was voted in and in the wording was the claim that the toll will dissolve once the road has been paid for. It was paid off in 2005, but you still pay to this day.

Re: “Walker Stapleton’s KKK great-grandfather isn’t his biggest problem

Author fails to mention that back in the 20-30's in Denver you couldn't win an elected position without bowing to KKK support. Not supporting this ideology, but it was a sign of the times back then. PBS has an episode of Colorado Experience which discuss' the KKK in Denver. It also pointed out that Mayor Stapleton wasn't an actual KKK member, but did support their cause to gain his position. When the KKK was going out of favor, Stapleton distanced himself from the organization. It point's out they abandoned their HQ in Denver, tried to set up shop in CSprings (were ran out) and settled in Canon City.

Re: “John Suthers reflects on first term as mayor, sets a new agenda and eyes a second term

Has bowed to every developer in town just like the previous Mayor. These guys cater to the tourist's only, screw the locals.
